Description
Our hospitality management company is looking for an exceptional Digital Content Writer to create compelling copy and content ideas that generate awareness, build relationships, and shorten our sales cycle. The position is contract-only, 16-24 hours per week, starting immediately.
* Offsite/ remote work is acceptable if the contractor can be available for quarterly onsite meetings or weekly brainstorming sessions via Zoom.
Our new Digital Content Writer contractor will be a storyteller who has a passion for writing, editing, and incorporating SEO with digital copywriting trends. They work collaboratively with others to generate ideas, and assist in the creation of a wide range of marketing materials (emails, social ads, blog posts, landing pages, infographics, video scripts, etc.) to support the customer at multiple points in the customer journey.
TEAM WORK–––
They'll work closely with the Content Marketing Manager and various teams, including Brand Creative, Digital Marketing, Marketing, Operations, Legal, and Sales to develop and refine marketing materials, ultimately delivering the content that enables our marketing efforts to drive continued revenue growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES–––
Create content for emails, websites, webinars, white papers, infographics, videos, blog posts, case studies, etc.
Develop content models so that content can be written in a consistent way and automatically published to any channel (mobile, web, print).
Help identify gaps in existing messaging and develop ways to strengthen our brand voice across content channels.
Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts, designers, product marketing, sales, executive leadership, and others to produce impactful content.
Stays current on digital storytelling best practices and emerging trends.
Requirements
JOB SPECIFICATIONS––––
EDUCATION:
BA/BS degree in Marketing, Brand Development, Creative Writing, Public Relations or related business field (preferred)
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (If applicable):
Experience with website CMS tools
Intermediate understanding of user experience and search engine optimization (SEO) skills
Familiarity with content tagging (metadata) and Google Analytics a plus
QUALIFICATIONS———
° BA/BS degree in Marketing, Brand Development, Creative Writing, Public Relations or related business field (preferred)
° Requires 2-5 years of content/editorial experience and digital media experience
° Excellent writing and editing skills; strong eye for detail
° Basic understanding of user-centered design methodologies
° Ability to self-manage and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Compensation/Benefits
° Part-time contract agreement
° $35-38 per hour (starting salary)
