Description

We are a national parenting lifestyle magazine, in search of 2 additional experienced magazine writers for our upcoming summer and fall issues.

OUR WRITING EXPECTATIONS

° Articles 350-600 words in length, depending on the content needed;

° Categories include parenting, family, crafting, wellness, beauty, family home decor, and cooking;

° Each writer composes 2 - 3 articles per month (Limit is 3 at this time)

° Monthly deadline submission—final content must be submitted by the 20th of each month.



This is a REMOTE WRITING POSITION, based in Arizona (US). We highly prefer experienced magazine writers that have parenting experience in the United States. However, international magazine writers are welcome to submit an application for considerations IF they strongly meet ALL REQUIREMENTS listed below.

Requirements

"MUST-HAVES" ° Excellent US English written grammar ° Magazine writing experience with published samples for review ° Apply by submitting at least 1 of your previously published magazine articles, as a sample of your writing experience, style, and skills. ° Begin on May 2nd, 2022 ° Agree to a signed monthly salary contract "HIGHLY PREFERRED CANDIDATES" ° Parenting experience within the United States; ° Previous or current magazine article writing experience ° Meets deadlines necessary for editor feedback and publishing HOW TO APPLY— When applying, please tell us: ° Who you are as an experienced magazine article writer ° An interesting parenting fact about yourself that may benefit readers ° What categories you have experience writing about ° Salary requirements "per article" —please give us an idea of your "per-article" compensation requirements as an experienced magazine writer. Please note: we're seeking experienced writers who have published magazine content in the past or currently write for magazines/ online media outlets/ well-known parenting blog platforms. If you are selected or shortlisted, you will receive a confirmation email by the end of March. We will only contact shortlisted writers at this time. Thank you.

Compensation/Benefits

° Compensation is "per article" with direct check deposits on the 5th of each month for ALL approved and published articles.
° Credit for published magazine content
° Additional commission provided to top writers
° Friendly, easy-going, and professional remote team atmosphere

SALARY REQUESTS—
Salary is based on experience and abilities. Please provide your salary requirements on your application.
For example, " $300 per article/ 500 words" or "$75 per 300-word article". Kindly explain your requirements and experience in complete sentences to help us shortlist writers timely.


PAYMENT SCHEDULE—
Writers are paid on the 5th of the following month.
Example: writer submits 2 articles on the 20th of July, editor provides feedback by the 25th of July, articles are published by the 1st of August, and writer is paid on the 5th of August.
