Description
We are looking for an SEO Writer to help with SEO-focused content across verticals (beauty, lifestyle, food, health, fitness, etc.) and also helping with story updates. This position will be 15 - 25 hours a week, with daily story submission quotas, and reports to the Senior Growth Editor.
You’ll Report To: Senior Growth Editor
A typical day as a News Writer for Well+Good might include:
° Contribute pitches to our pitch channels as well as directly to the senior growth editor, with content focused on areas of opportunity for SEO
° Write content daily
° Optimize existing content for SEO performance
° Research target keywords and ideate on-brand angles to grow search traffic while staying true to
° Well+Good’s voice and values
APPLICATION PROCESS:
Step 1: A video/phone call with a member from our Hiring Team. In this call, we will cover the basics of the role and our company, and discuss a high level overview of your past experiences, goals, and interest in this role.
Step 2: A call with your potential manager or someone from the hiring team to dive deeper into your experiences and goals.
Step 3: A short assessment to help us see your skill sets as they relate to the role we have. We will review this in Step 1.
Step 4: Depending on the role, interviews with key stakeholders from the role (could be 1 or up to 3) who will dive further into the role with you and answer any questions you may have.
Requirements
What You Have:
° 1 - 2 years editorial experience, with a focus on SEO writing
° Strong writing skills
° Demonstrated experience using analytics tools (SEMrush, Google Analytics, Parse.ly, etc), particularly for monitoring traffic trends and search ranking
° An interest in wellness topics across verticals and beats
° A passion for high-quality digital content
° Excellent verbal and written communication
You’ll be successful if you are passionate about outstanding content, great ideas, and have a knack for clean, quick writing. A knowledge of and experience with enacting SEO best practices is necessary for success in this position. This is a fast-paced role, and will require you to work with the Senior Growth Editor and vertical editors to prioritize stories based on SEO potential.
