The Segmentation Editor Position supports online advertising products by building query segments that in turn train search algorithms used by the search engine.
This is a part time employee work-from-home position requiring attentive and motivated individuals.
Applicants will be required to complete an online screen test to determine their qualification level. Upon successful completion of this test, candidates will be further screened for the skills listed below (usually over the phone).
Eligible applicants must be based in the US and must be fluent in English both verbal and written.
Work with the Behavioral Targeting analyst team to learn and use various user segmentation tools.
Learn, and become an expert on various internal user segmentation tools
Communicate with local market representatives to better understand needs for user segments
Effectively prioritize segment demands
Maintain high level for segment quality and drive timely delivery for segments
Research search terms and online content browsed by the targeted user segments.
Analyze data by using segmentation and other data analysis tools to process and finalize search term and URL content lists.
Proactively identify areas for investigation, to improve segmentation processes and/or segment quality
Collaborate with other analysts to discover problems and suggest solutions
Ability and desire to do product research on the Internet
Knowledge of popular web search engines, informational portals, and general pop-culture of the EN-US and PT-BR market
Ability to prioritize and sort information
Ability to recognize patterns and draw conclusions from those patterns
Ability to pinpoint the core meaning and intent of keyword queries and phrases
Decisiveness; Ability to make quick, decisions under time constraints
Critical thinking skills (defined as: the analysis, synthesis, evaluation, and reconstruction of thinking).
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing guidelines
Some data analyzing skills (understand basic database structures)
Excellent communication skills and demonstrated professionalism (Customer Support)
Fluency in English and Portuguese
Ability to work from home
A BS degree in Computer Science, Business or equivalent
Familiarity with US & BR market advertisers and brands for various verticals, such as Retail, Fashion, Consumer Products, Automobile, etc.
Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) in English
Experience/knowledge with various data analysis tools, such as Excel, SQL Server
Attention to detail and data accuracy.
Demonstrated willingness to learn new techniques.
Superior communications skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to draw conclusions from data and recommend actions.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
