Our leading acquisitions firm seeks an experienced contract business writer to work on an ongoing project basis.
The writer is responsible for producing polished descriptions, or Confidential Information Memorandums (CIM), of companies we are bringing to market for sale. Each CIM is about 15-18 pages long and needs to be turned around in two weeks from the start of the assignment. There is very little outside research required. All information is provided by the client or supplied from our data resources.
The remote writer must commit to attending phone conferences each month.
This a great opportunity for a seasoned business or financial writer to work for a growing and innovative firm on a long-term basis.
Compensation is commensurate with experience and suitability of writing samples.
Qualified candidates will have:
5 writing samples to submit for review, including several by-lined business articles
Experience producing content across a range of industries and markets
Strong analytical skills - able to work with quantitative data
Understanding of business terms and current knowledge of broad economic trends
Ability to accept editorial direction
Track record of adherence to inviolable deadlines
Exceptional verbal communication skills
Experience working in a team of professionals
Talent to interact professionally with sophisticated business owners
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and have latest versions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Home office with reliable Internet and clear phone service.
Qualified candidate must submit at least 3 samples to WBI within their online application to be considered.
