This key position on the Diagnostics Information Solutions (DIS) Communications Team provides articulate writing, creative ideas and strategic input for marketing programs that drive engagement. Position manages current product information, facilitates communications, and helps disseminate according to plan and strategy, performing a variety of specialized tasks related to digital and marketing objectives.
The ideal candidate will distill technical and medical concepts into clear, effective communications, will be highly organized, and work effectively with a range of content contributors and stakeholders throughout the organization. Under limited supervision and utilizing previous experience, the content writer will ensure that all content clearly communicates, has good overall flow and personifies the voice and tone of the products within the portfolio. A positive attitude, business understanding, and marketing channel knowledge/experience will help create/source, optimize, and deliver content for use across digital and other marketing channels.
– Develops, outlines, writes and edits copy and messaging for health IT marketing materials (including but not limited to message maps, sales tools, product collateral, posters, web banners, video scripts, outbound email, presentations and web content), based on interviews, independent research, and background materials – Remains constantly up-to-date on status of development roadmap for multiple products, field input, strategy/acquisitions and partnerships – Partners with Communications and Product Marketing to develop concepts/layout options for highly visible marketing initiatives and assets; responsible for writing content that clearly articulates these concepts – Teams up with Product and Brand Marketing to articulate product differentiation and ensure that the brand’s overall position, mission and values are expressed in a variety of marketing support materials – Interacts with multiple stakeholders including Brand Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales and Customer Success, Market Development, Product Development, Affiliate and Strategy Teams – Proofreads and edits copy to ensure it is accurate, clear and adheres to brand style guides and brand standards – Follows content review and approval processes; posts in appropriate channels for distribution – Maintains and provides intranet and internet content – Provides assistance with roll-out of marketing programs
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
– Detail-oriented, organized and coachable – Experienced in planning and executing on social media channels, primarily Twitter and LinkedIn – Acute awareness of, and response to, multiple timelines and competing priorities – Ability to work simultaneously on multiple cross-functional teams and in highly matrixed environments – Ability to learn and follow processes and procedures necessary to develop, route for approval and release controlled communications within a highly regulated industry – Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build quality relationships – Effective written and oral communication skills, with impeccable grammar – Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and dynamic environment – Ability to follow Company branding to ensure that marketing deliverables meet brand standards and align with global brand objectives – Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Google Suite of products
– Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, or other related field or equivalent work experience – Five years minimum, seven years preferred, of successful, increasing responsibility in marketing communications, corporate marketing, promotional, administrative and/or related business experience – At least one year of relevant experience in diagnostics, medical device or healthcare related industry preferred
