We're a Bay Area e-commerce start up looking for a copywriter to help with ad, marketing and site copy. We launched a few months ago, but are struggling to test a bunch of different versions of our ads and site b/c we don't have anyone with these skills in house.
The gig would be remote, and we'd likely need 10-20 hours per week at first. Opportunity to take on more work over time.
Ideally you have some of the following qualities / experience, but open to people new to copywriting, students or anyone with a passion for writing and a unique voice:
Are a compelling copywriter and storyteller?
Know the importance of being dynamic, playful, innovative and customer-centric?
Love brainstorming and pushing ideas as far as possible?
Believe that "what's next" and "what's fresh" is the way to stay relevant?
Have copywriting experience for lifestyle retail brands or ecommerce?
Can infuse five words (or less) with emotional resonance?
Have experience creating and evolving a brand's voice and tone?
Are open and willing to hear constructive feedback and edits?
Proven ability to balance the brand's voice with direct response effectiveness and performance?
Project and time management skills?
Excellent language, grammar and writing skills with attention to detail?
A killer book (if you have them, please be sure to submit your samples when you apply).
