Lasher Media is seeking several ghostwriters that can write articles and listicles for a long-term work relationship. Please only apply if you are a native-English speaker who wants regular, weekly work for the foreseeable future. Our business is taking off and showing no signs of slowing down.
This is a remote/telecommuting position. Work from anywhere as long as you are US-based. A signed W-9 will be required.
We need content created on a variety of topics that include: Food, Travel, Millennial Lifestyles as they relate to such, Celebrity Chefs, and more.
Deadlines are important. Content is published frequently and there needs to be time allotted for editing to occur after you complete a submission. Typically, when we assign a topic, we'd like to see that content delivered within 24 to 36 hours. The good news is, the more good and timely work you submit to us, the more we will send you.
Typically, two assignments are sent out on Sunday afternoon to be due Monday and Tuesday evenings by 11:59 PM EST. Then another two are sent on Tuesday to be due Wednesday and Thursday evenings. We are open to writers who would like to take on more work than this as well, but this is the minimum we require from each writer.
This position is for ghostwriting only. You will be compensated for your work and with that, we will retain the rights to that work. You will be paid at $0.005/word, which averages to around $12.50 per article. Most pieces are expected to be roughly 2,500 words, give or take. We also out extra for those that our clients give great feedback on.
The majority of the content requested will need to be in listicle format. For example, a headline might be, "25 Things We Really Didn't Need To Know About Chick-Fil-A," "20 Travel Hacks That Score The Best Deals At Disney," "25 Things People Around The World Hate About Americans," or "20 Haunted Houses You Can Actually Stay Overnight In This October".
Our writing style is casual and blog-like. Still, credible sources are important. We will want to see links directing us to where you found any facts or quotes that you cite in the content. You will be given a title and be expected to deliver content based on such. We are here to help if you struggle sometimes with outlining what subheadings to use, etc, but for the most part, we are looking for self-driven writers who can handle this type of task on their own.
Good grammar and punctuation skills are necessary. We are looking for writers with a mixture of talent and experience (even if you haven't been published). We will work with you to hone the correct style and tone that we are looking for. In return, we expect work that is turned in on time. Let us know if you'd like to complete a brief (400-word) test article and move forward. Check us out at lashermedia.net. Thanks!
