Our client is a dynamic, young, and thriving tech PR firm looking for an experienced Freelance Writer to collaborate with their talented team.
This role will remotely support a range of B2B/B2C clients with a focus on technology.
The writer will work closely with team members to draft thoughtful content for key clients.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two to three years of experience in communications, public relations, journalism or a related field and demonstrate strong communication and writing skills (via writing samples), creativity and the ability to work in a fast paced environment under deadlines.
Draft a range of written materials and solid first drafts of op-eds, bylines, fact sheets, executive bios, award applications, speaking submissions, press releases, etc.
Interact remotely with clients and internal team members via writing calls
Research client and competitor products and services
Write and/or edit materials with strong attention to detail
Provide client-ready content to team members for review
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or a related field
PR or Journalism background preferred and background in tech or business writing required
2-3 years of full-time experience in Journalism with growing expertise in related practice area
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Experience in creating and editing public facing communications, including, but not limited to: op-eds, bylines, fact sheets, executive bios, award applications, speaking submissions, press releases, etc. *writing samples required
Excellent communication, organizational and writing skills
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic, creative and fast-paced environment
Contract, $400-800 Monthly
Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)
Growing: 1 year (Preferred)
Public Relations: 1 year (Preferred)
Journalism: 1 year (Preferred)
