Do you enjoying listening to podcasts? This is a great side hustle opportunity.
I am seeking skilled editors who can take raw interview transcripts and edit them down into pithy Q&As that focus on the most noteworthy and actionable parts of the conversation.
Pay per episode (of up to an hour) is $45 and you will be given a transcript to work from.
You'll need to use editorial judgement to cut parts of the conversation and hone in on the most interesting points of the episode. In addition, you will be responsible for:
- removing fillers words - editing natural language without detracting from the person's intended meaning - cleaning up grammar - reorganizing sentence sequence (sparingly and when appropriate to make things clear for the reader)
The goal is to provide podcast hosts with an easy-to-read Q&A for readers that is more engaging than simple show notes or a lengthy raw transcript.
To apply and get in the rotation for future assignments:
Send an email with a brief cover letter that describes any similar / related experience you might have. Please link to some relevant editing and writing clips as well. Definitely mention if you've work with podcast content or repurposing audio content previously.
Before adding you to the rotation, you'll be ask to do a paid test assignment.
Looking forward to hearing from fellow podcast lovers!
