Response Writer Opening—a significant amount of the work of pre-sales is to respond to qualified RFX requests from customers. This is a duty that requires a high level of specialist skill and takes time away from the main role of preparing for and delivering high quality presentations and demos. The role of Response Writer will be focused on this activity and will support pre-sales architects and sales managers in their RFX responses.
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer for the Service Management Business Unit, the Response Writer will support selected bid responses that relate to key accounts or are significant is size or value to IFS.
Gather historical RFP content related to service management responses, from the global pre-sales team and consolidate into a single source of information.
Refine the results by checking content quality with subject matter experts.
Publish and socialise available content to the pre-sales community.
Promote best practise regarding response quality and consistency.
Provide “boiler plate” content for common documents and for document sections that are often repeated. E.g Cloud security.
Collaborate with relevant IFS teams to ensure the optimum amount of content is pre-written for specifically identified use cases and industries.
Keep abreast of latest trends in the service management industry that may be relevant to an RFX response.
Be familiar with current IFS service management solution capabilities and value.
Be aware of current solution roadmap related to IFS service management solutions.
Take part in appropriate qualification meetings to identify and select key deals where a Response Writer service will be required.
Closely support the response for those deals by being an active part of the response team.
ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES If IFS choose to adopt a bid management solution, the Response Writer will be responsible for assigning work packets and managing quality and currency of content.
University degree, or equivalent professional qualifications, in English;
Minimum of three year’s experience in a similar role preferably focussed on service management solutions.
