Editors are expected to work directly with the editorial leadership team, and especially with state managing editors, to ensure that coverage is consistent, strategic and impactful. Editors should think creatively about formats, always looking for the best way to tell any given story, and seek opportunities to collaborate with the social, video and events teams. Editors are responsible for innovating and finding new ways to engage with key audiences and producing editorial strategies for specific audience segments. They will implement insights from the audience development team to evolve editorial strategy. They will create new tentpole initiatives with the video team and regularly collaborate with the director of video to adapt video stories to editorial and vice versa.
